Tasting Notes

A serious bottle of wine. Ideal for the Riesling and Austrian aficionado looking to stretch their wine education and tasting experience. Great astringency, this is bone dry. Imagine sucking a pebble on the beach, - if ever you have! Flinty, with layers of character, a thinking drinkers wine. Sitting on the petrol with lime peel spectrum of Riesling, which shows on the mid to back pallet. Lean and Mineral. - NM February 2021 (Goes with... tasted with With Aromatic Duck).

About the Wine

Furth bei Göttweig Appellation: Kremstal dac Grapes: Riesling (100%) Typical vintage Analysis: 12,5% alcohol 2,5 g/l residual sugar 6,6 g/l total acidity

Closure: screw cap

Production: „Kremstal“ (located around the small city Krems), on the southern border of the river Danube on the foothills of the „Stift Göttweig“ monastery. Both, rocky soils of weathered primary rock and deep loess covers can be found in Kremstal, therefore it is not surprising that both Grüner Veltliner and Riesling dominate. Soil composition: a mixture of primary rock and loess grounds Age of vines: 30-40 years

Dull Label amazing Wine. - One of the best for quality and grape representation in the whole collection

Vinification: handpicked selected grapes, soft pressing, temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel, settling in big wooden barrels (4.000 to 6.000 l, NO oak taste) before bottling which allows the wine to clarify itself without filtration
